Bring more diversity and challenge to your group or personal training Matwork routine with the Foam Roller. In the first half of this pre-con, a variety of exercises using the roller to target core stabilizers, cue alignment and challenge core and peripheral strength will be demonstrated, explained and practiced. In the second half, participants will learn how to add further challenge to the Foam Roller routine, using the roller s unstable nature while reducing the base of support to increase the challenge to strength and balance. Cues and corrections for safety and effectiveness are also covered.

Stott Pilates® Mat-Plus

This workshop interactively teaches participants select exercises from the STOTT PILATES Essential Matwork repertoire incorporating the Arc Barrel, the Fitness Circle resistance ring and the Flex-Band exerciser for support, challenge and variety. Participants will learn how these props may be used to support the spine in flexion, lateral flexion or extension and to target core and peripheral muscle groups through demonstration, explanation and experience. Tips on the application of specific exercises and modifications for specific body types will be covered, as well as cues and corrections for safety and effectiveness.
